This makes for spectacular game viewing and a unique safari experience.
At the Lodge, true tranquillity is found. The lodge is characterised by the Komati River which continuously emits a gentle rumble. This reminder of one’s proximity to nature complements the tranquil atmosphere that is felt throughout Nkomazi Private Game Reserve. Steeped in history, the reserve is home to some of the oldest rock formations on earth, embellished by ancient San rock art.

The six Deluxe Tents are framed by nature and are well-appointed, offering a great deal of comfort. These tents sleep a maximum of two adults and have panoramic views of Nkomazi Game Reserve.
The six Luxury Tents are framed by nature and are well-appointed, offering a great deal of comfort. These tents sleep a maximum of two adults and are river facing.
The Family Tents, also surrounded by the wild, is luxurious and spacious. This tent sleeps a maximum of two adults and 2 children older than twelve.
The two Honeymoon Tents are set with the closest proximity to the Komati River, offering a special location where your honeymoon can be enjoyed to the fullest. The tents’ surroundings are stunning, as are their interiors, which have been beautifully appointed. They are incredibly spacious, at 80 m² each.
The Presidential Tent offers panoramic views of the reserve and has been appointed with an impressive range of luxury amenities.
This tent is generously spacious, giving a sense of privacy and exclusivity which contributes to a top-class safari experience. Sleeps a maximum of two persons.
Nkomazi Private Game Reserve is a wildlife haven. This is where great natural beauty and the 3.7 billion years of history meet. Nature lovers can share in the many wonders of Nkomazi, its diversity of wildlife and habitat, its natural beauty and major geological finds. Interactive morning and evening game drives in open game-viewing vehicles form part of the Nkomazi Private Game Reserve experience. These drives last up to three hours, and guests are served tea or coffee at sunrise and a sundowner at sunset. Viewing diverse flora, including the Barberton daisy and the Protea, also forms part of these journeys.
A wonderful opportunity to view the finer details of the bush up close is offered through Nkomazi Private Game Reserve’s guided nature walks. These are led by qualified walking guides who reveal the sighting of, and information on birds, insects, plants and animal droppings. Guided nature walks are only offered to guests over the age of sixteen. This activity must be requested at the time of booking accommodation as walks are scheduled subject to the availability of guides.
